A new design for a family in Topanga, California. The IDEA is a cantilevered living space (both floor and its' ceiling) back toward the hill side, thus freeing up structure to take in Nature and to answer the Building regulation of non invasive encroachment into the driplines of the native Oak Trees. Otherwise and unbuildable site....thanks to the STATE. But here Form Follows Function and not Fill up a random Form with Functions! This is Architecture, it is not a shopping bag.

I have always thought that Stanley Kubricks scene in 2001 depicting the very first human idea to be magnificent!

Construction continues with over a mile and a half of electrical conduit in place, in the floor of the Nightclub, (foreground) and in the background, the slopes of the ceilings over the offices is now taking shape.

Designed FIRST in the mind, then built in a model, and lastly, drawn. (To record all the details so it can be built.)

And that is how you create what Frank Lloyd Wright called: "Organic Architecture."
